We started designing digital bas-reliefs the way most good things start — not as a business plan, but as a habit. Evenings at the kitchen table, one of us modeling a deer head in Aspire while the other refined a Christian relief in ZBrush, arguing gently about whether the fur detail was too heavy or the shadow too soft.
Between us we've spent more than two decades working in CNC design, 3D printing, and CAD modeling. We've carved in hardwoods and softwoods, tested files on every mainstream piece of software — Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, ArtCAM, Fusion 360 — and learned, one broken bit and failed pass at a time, what makes a bas-relief feel hand-sculpted once it's milled into wood.

When we launched DigitalChiselCo, we made one non-negotiable rule: 50% of every sale goes to support people in need and animal welfare in our community. Not a rounded-up percent. Not a marketing angle. Half.
It's the reason we design at all — so that every carve, every print, every engrave leaves a little more kindness in the world than we found it with. When you download one of our files, you're not just buying an STL. You're feeding families. You're helping shelter animals. That's the whole point.
What you can expect from our files.
Every file we publish is tested on real CNC routers, desktop 3D printers, and laser engravers before it reaches Etsy. Where most shops ship a generic STL and hope it works, we:
Design for multiple formats. Our files are crafted to carve well on CNC routers, print cleanly on consumer 3D printers, and engrave legibly under a laser. We test each one across all three.
Design for real software. Every file imports cleanly into Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, ArtCAM, Fusion 360, LightBurn, Easel Pro, and Carbide Create. No mystery formats, no conversion headaches.
Design for real people. We answer every Etsy message ourselves. If a file doesn't work on your machine, we fix it or refund it. No scripts, no support tickets.
