About this design
Roman soldiers raise their whips, the crowd looks on, and Christ kneels bound to the pillar, his body marked and his robe slipping to the stone floor. This is one of the heaviest moments in the Passion, and carved in wood it carries real weight. The shadows fall deep between the figures, the armor catches light, and every face tells part of the story. Finished and stained, it reads like a devotional panel handed down through generations.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean cutting. The depth is layered so the foreground figures stand proud while the stone wall and archway recede behind them, giving you strong contrast without muddy toolpaths. It is ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it runs well on a CNC router or a resin 3D printer. For the cleanest result, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then finish with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull out the faces, the robe folds, and the muscle detail. Cut it in walnut, oak, maple, or MDF, and scale it up so the small features survive. It makes a striking Stations of the Cross panel, church wall art, a Holy Week or Easter display, or a reverent gift.
