About this design
Two mallards break from the reeds at the same instant, wings thrown wide, bodies still angled low over the marsh grass. You can almost hear the panic of beating feathers. Carved in wood, this scene has the kind of motion that stops people in a hallway, every flight feather laid down in clean rows, the oak and bracken below filling out the lower edge of the panel.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for real depth and crisp toolpaths. The layered wings, textured breast feathers, and rough marsh foliage give your finishing pass plenty to bite into, so the carve reads sharp from across a room. It comes ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, ArtCAM, and Fusion 360, and it runs on a CNC router, a 3D printer, or a laser setup tuned for relief work. For a clean result, hog out the waste with a 6mm end mill at a 40 percent stepover, then drop to a 3mm ball nose and finish at roughly 10 percent stepover to pull out the feather lines. Carve it into walnut, maple, or MDF for wall plaques, cabin signs, gun room panels, or a one of a kind gift for the duck hunter in your life.
The download is instant, so you can be cutting today. Commercial use is included, which means you are free to carve these mallards, sell the finished pieces at shows or online, and gift them to the outdoorsmen you know. Add it to your library and let the chips fly.
