For most pieces I rough out the bulk with a 6mm end mill running around 40 percent stepover, then come back and finish with a 3mm ball nose at roughly 10 percent stepover to pull out the fine detail in feathers, fur, and grain. Cut them as wall art, signs, plaques, mantel pieces, or one-off gifts that look like you spent days carving them by hand.
