Every one fits a 220 × 220 mm bed. The fan of light on the ceiling is what a fluted single wall does, and a fabric shade cannot.

Every other lampshade file leaves you gluing a separate bulb ring in place. The Studio fuses a spoked E27/E14 holder into the shade and computes your slicer's exact vase-mode settings — so one print, with zero supports, comes off the bed as a finished lamp.

The one-piece vase-mode trick

The bulb holder sits at the bottom, and the app calculates the solid bottom-layer count for YOUR ring height and layer height (e.g. 10 mm ÷ 0.2 mm = 50). Enable vase mode, set the number, print the whole lamp in one go.

Lithophane mode embosses any photo into the wall so it appears when the lamp lights. Text mode wraps names and dates on a curved baseline — glowing, raised or engraved. Personalised gifts, ready in minutes.

What is Vase Lampshade Studio?+

A Windows 10/11 desktop app that designs 3D-printable lampshades with the bulb holder built in, so shade and holder print as one piece in vase mode. It has 105 parametric shapes, lithophane photos and curved text, and exports watertight STL, OBJ and 3MF files. It costs $39 once, with no subscription.

Can I try it for free?+

How does a lampshade and bulb holder print in one piece?+

In vase mode the slicer prints a few solid bottom layers, then spirals a single wall. The Studio sets the solid bottom layers to cover the holder: holder height divided by layer height, so a 10 mm holder at 0.2 mm layers needs 50. The holder prints solid and the shade spirals up from it with no supports.

Which printers and slicers does it work with?+

Exports open in Orca, Cura, PrusaSlicer and Bambu Studio. Pick your printer (Ender, Prusa, Bambu and others, or a custom size) and the Studio warns you if the lamp will not fit the bed.

Which bulbs does the holder fit?+

E27, E14, B22 and GU10, with 8 spoke styles, sized to the shade opening. Use LED bulbs only: a printed plastic shade is not made for the heat of an incandescent bulb.

Can I sell the lamps I make?+

Yes. A commercial licence is included, so you can sell the lamps you print.

Does it run on a Mac?+

The desktop app is for Windows 10 and 11. The free playground on this page, and a single $3 lampshade bought from it, work in any modern browser, including on a Mac.
