About this design
A mother bear stands watch in the deep pine woods while her cub dozes against her chest, tucked safe along a fallen branch. There's a quiet tenderness here that you don't see in most wildlife designs. Carve it in walnut or maple and the fur catches the light like real guard hairs, the cub's closed eyes soft and trusting. It's the kind of piece that stops people in a room and makes them lean in.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean cutting. The fur is sculpted in layered passes, the background timber and forest floor give it real depth, and the toolpaths run smooth without fighting your machine. It's ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it cuts well on a CNC router in hardwood, MDF, acrylic, or resin. You can also run it on a resin or FDM 3D printer, or use it for deep laser engraving depending on your setup. For best results, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull out the fine fur and facial detail. Use it for cabin wall art, rustic plaques, lodge signs, or handmade gifts.
