About this design
Anyone who has ever held more than one leash knows this exact moment. A lanky hound strides ahead, an Afghan with that gorgeous flowing coat cuts across the path, and a little dachshund trots off in its own direction, while the leashes loop and cross into a beautiful mess. It is chaos and joy, and it makes you smile the second you see it carved in wood.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL, sculpted so the three dogs read clearly against a deep, hand-textured background. Look at the difference in coats: the smooth shorthair on the big dog, the long silky fur on the Afghan, the tight little body of the dachshund. The crossing leashes give the whole panel motion and let shadows fall in interesting ways. The file is ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it runs cleanly on a CNC router. For toolpaths, I get good results roughing with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then finishing with a 3mm ball nose pulled down to 10 percent stepover. Set your depth of cut to suit how rigid your machine is and which wood you are running. Oak, walnut, maple, all carve up nicely here. Make it into wall art, a doorway sign for a groomer or kennel, or a one of a kind gift for a dog-crazy friend.
This is an instant digital download, so you can have it on the machine today. Commercial use is included, so carve it for yourself, sell the finished pieces at shows, or gift it to the multi-dog household in your life. Grab the file and put it to work.
