About this design
A blue heeler sits dead-center in a field of golden wheat, ears up, eyes locked on you, a little brass tag swinging from his collar. Behind him a longhorn bull stands guard against a stormy sky. This is the kind of scene that stops a dog person in their tracks, and once it is carved in walnut or maple it reads like a painting you can run your hand across.
What you get is a high-detail bas-relief STL built to carve clean. The coat texture, the loose wheat heads, and the rough rock face in the background all hold their depth without muddying up, so the cut comes off the machine looking finished. It is ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it runs well on a CNC router, a 3D printer, or a laser engraver working from a heightmap. For the cleanest result, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at a 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull the fine fur and grass detail. Scale it to whatever your stock and machine allow, from a small plaque to a full wall panel. Think ranch signs, farmhouse wall art, lodge decor, and gifts for the cattle dog crowd.
