About this design
A small boy in a straw cowboy hat too big for his head, kerchief knotted at the throat, perched in a worn denim jacket with his boots crossed and a quiet half-smile on his face. There is real warmth here. Carve this one and you get the kind of piece that stops people in a hallway, the sort of portrait grandparents keep on the wall for thirty years.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built to bring out every fold. Look at the weave of the hat brim, the stitching on the jacket pockets, the tooled leather and stitched seams on those boots. The model reads with deep, layered relief and clean shadow lines, so your toolpaths stay tidy and the fine work survives the finish pass. It is ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, ArtCAM, and Fusion 360, and it runs well on a CNC router or a 3D printer (convert the file if your slicer needs it). For a clean result, hog out the bulk with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back and finish with a 3mm ball nose at a tight 10 percent stepover to pull out the face and fabric detail. Great in maple, walnut, cherry, or basswood for wall panels, western signs, nursery decor, and ranch-themed gifts.
