About this design
A pilot stares out from under his helmet, jaw set, while a fighter jet streaks across the mirrored visor. Look closer and you find a second aircraft banking through the clouds below his oxygen mask. This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean machining. The depth is layered well, so the leather flight jacket, the rivets on the helmet, and the soft cloud texture all read clearly once the dust is blown off. It is tested and ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, ArtCAM, and Fusion 360, and it runs nicely on a CNC router. For the toolpaths I rough it with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull out the fine work in the eyes, beard, and aircraft. You can scale it inside your software to suit a tall wall panel, a plaque, or a smaller framed piece. It works as wall art, a man cave centerpiece, an office sign, or a gift carved in walnut, maple, or cherry.
