About this design
A skull looms over a charging steam engine, jaws parting as flames pour out and roll up into a wall of smoke. The locomotive barrels straight at you down the tracks, headlamp glowing, every rivet and grill bar catching the light. Finished in walnut or oak, this one stops people mid-step. It is loud, dark, and full of motion, the kind of panel that owns a room.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean machining. The depth is layered with intent: sharp foreground work on the engine and its front grill, mid-level flames with real curl and flicker, and a deeply recessed skull and smoke filling the background. That stack of layers reads beautifully under raking light, throwing shadow across the bone texture and the fire. The file drops straight into Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, or ArtCAM and is ready for any CNC router. For a clean cut, rough it with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull out the teeth, the flame edges, and the fine mechanical detail on the locomotive. Carve it into wall art, a man cave statement panel, workshop signage, or a one-off gift for a machinist, biker, or train fan.
