About this design
A long-limbed hound sprawls out for a nap, one paw flopping down right onto the face of a wide-eyed daisy that looks absolutely horrified about it. The flower's red petals fan out like a startled mane while the dog snoozes on, blissfully unaware. It is the kind of carve that makes people grin before they even know why, and that grin is exactly what you want hanging on a wall.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL, sculpted with real character in every fold of fur, the curve of the dog's lean body, and the cartoon panic on that little flower face. The recessed, hand-tooled background throws deep shadows that push the figures forward and give the whole panel a carved-by-hand feel. The file is built and tested for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it runs cleanly on a CNC router. For the best surface, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back and finish with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover. Set your depth of cut to suit your material and how rigid your machine is. The result holds crisp detail in oak, walnut, maple, or whatever stock you favor. Use it for quirky wall art, pet-lover gifts, workshop signs, or a standout piece in a craft product line.
