About this design
A sleepy Highland calf, all shaggy coat and soft horns, curled up and looking right back at you. There is something instantly warm about this little one. Carved into oak or maple, those layered tufts of fur catch the light and the whole piece feels like you sat there and chiseled it by hand over a long winter evening.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean, deep carving. The sculpted fur, the gentle face, and the recessed background give you real shadow and dimension, not a flat stamp. It runs smoothly in Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it works on a CNC router, a 3D printer, or through a height-map workflow on a laser engraver. For the best surface, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull out every curl and whisker. Scale it up for a statement wall plaque or keep it small for a nursery sign, a gift plaque, or a country kitchen accent.
The file downloads the moment you check out, so you can be cutting tonight. Commercial use is included, which means you are free to carve these, sell them at the market, or hand them out as gifts. Add it to your library, load your stock, and let this fuzzy little calf charm everyone who walks past it.
