About this design
Step into the barn aisle and you can almost smell the hay. Three horses stand among the stalls, one a soft paint dappled in chestnut, while a little spaniel waits patiently in the straw. A saddle rests on the rail, reins and a bridle hang from their pegs, and the old plank door leans open behind them. This is the kind of scene that stops a horse person in their tracks.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean cutting. The carve packs in real depth, from the rough barn boards and stone wall to the flowing manes, the cowhide markings, and the bristled texture of the hay underfoot. Layered foreground and background give it genuine dimension, so shadows fall naturally once it comes off the machine. The file is tested and ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it runs nicely on a CNC router or a 3D printer. For a smooth result, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at a tight 10 percent stepover to pull out the fine detail in the horses and tack. Run it in walnut, maple, or basswood for wall art, a ranch sign, a tack room plaque, or a one-of-a-kind gift for a barn owner.
