About this design
Christ stands with his arms wide open, robes falling in long quiet folds, clouds rolling up around him on either side. There is a stillness to this one. The kind of panel that hangs above an altar or a doorway and stops people for a second when they walk past. Carved in walnut or oak, those draped sleeves and that calm face come alive under raking light.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for real depth. The flowing robe, the layered clouds, and the gentle modeling of the face and hands give you strong shadow lines and a true hand-sculpted feel. The file is tested and ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, ArtCAM, and Carveco, so it drops straight into your usual setup. Run it on a CNC router for finished plaques, drive it through a laser engraver with a height-map workflow, or scale it down for the 3D printer when you want a cast or painted piece. For clean results, rough the relief with a 6mm end mill at forty percent stepover, then bring out the fine folds and facial detail with a 3mm ball nose at ten percent stepover. Hardwood holds the crisp edges best, though it carves nicely in poplar and basswood too.
