About this design
A horse turns its head toward you, mane spilling like water, while behind it the land opens into pine forest, rocky ridges, and a lone rider climbing a snow-capped peak. There is a whole story tucked into one panel here, and the finished carve feels like standing at the edge of high country at first light. It is the kind of piece that stops people in a hallway and makes them lean in close.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL, built so the depth reads cleanly from the deep oval background up to the proud crest of the horse's face. The eye, the nostrils, the layered fir trees, and that tiny trail rider all hold their detail when you cut them. The file is ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it runs well on most hobby and pro CNC routers. For the best result, rough it out using a 6mm end mill at a 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at roughly 10 percent stepover to pull out the mane strands, the pine needles, and the soft shading across the muzzle. Walnut, oak, maple, and cherry all suit this one. Think wall art for a cabin or ranch house, a statement panel above a fireplace, stable signage, or a gift for the rider in your life.
This is an instant digital download with commercial use included, so you can carve it for yourself, sell finished panels at shows and shops, or build it into a custom gift. Add it to your library and put a chisel to it this weekend.
