About this design
A mother duck glides across still water with four ducklings tucked close behind her, the whole scene framed by a bank of broad poppies in full bloom. You can almost hear the quiet ripples spread out beneath them. Carved in good hardwood, this is the kind of panel that stops people in a hallway and makes them lean in to study the feathers.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean, deep carving. The sculpt holds tight feather lines, soft down on the ducklings, layered poppy petals, and concentric water rings that read beautifully under raking light. It is tested and ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, and Carveco, and it runs well on a CNC router, a resin or FDM 3D printer, or a laser set up for deep relief. For a clean cut, rough the panel with a 6mm end mill at a 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose finishing at roughly 10 percent stepover to pull out the fine grain texture. Carve it in oak, walnut, maple, or MDF for wall plaques, nursery panels, farmhouse signs, or one-off gifts.
The file downloads instantly after purchase, and commercial use is included, so you are free to carve it, sell the finished pieces, or make something special for someone who loves ducks and quiet water. Add it to your library and put it on the machine this weekend.
