About this design
A rider sits easy in the saddle, reins loose, looking out over a river that winds down through pine ridges toward distant peaks. There is real stillness in this one. The kind of quiet that comes right before a long ride. Carved in wood, that big sky and those layered mountains pull light across the grain and make a viewer stop and stare.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for depth. The round composition stacks foreground pines, a sweeping valley, and a soft cloud bank into clean planes that read beautifully once the toolpaths run. Pine needles, the horse's flank, the cowboy's hat and shoulders, all of it holds crisp detail without fighting your bit. It is shaped for CNC routers and tested to run smooth in Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it prints well on a resin or filament 3D printer too. For a clean result, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover for the fine work. Cut it in walnut, cherry, maple, or MDF and you have a round wall plaque worthy of any cabin, ranch office, or entryway.
