About this design
Picture the patron saint of hunters standing at the edge of a wild valley, palm branch in hand, his cloak falling heavy off one shoulder. High on the ridge behind him stands the legendary stag, a glowing cross between its antlers. Carved into wood, this scene has a quiet weight to it. The kind of piece that stops people in a hallway and makes them lean in close.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for deep, dramatic carving. The layered landscape gives you real depth to work with, from the figure in the foreground to the distant mountains and the tiny pines stepping back into the valley. Toolpaths come off it clean, so the folds of the cloak, the rows of the soldier's skirt, and the texture of the brush all hold their detail. It is ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, ArtCAM, and Fusion 360, and it runs well on a CNC router or a 3D printer in resin or FDM. For the cut, rough it with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back and finish with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull out the fine work in the faces and the foliage. Use it for hunting lodge wall art, a devotional plaque, rustic cabin decor, or a meaningful gift for an outdoorsman of faith.
