About this design
A little red squirrel pauses on a winding branch, acorn cupped in its paws, fluffy tail curled up behind it. Oak leaves arc overhead and tumble down toward a fallen acorn at its feet. Carve this one and you get that quiet autumn-woods feeling locked into the wood, the kind of panel people stop and run their fingers across.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean results. The sculpt holds crisp fur texture, layered leaves, and real depth between the squirrel and the background branch, so the toolpaths read sharp instead of muddy. It is ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it runs well on a CNC router, a laser engraver, or a resin or FDM 3D printer. For carving, rough the panel with a 6mm end mill at a 40 percent stepover to clear the bulk fast, then drop to a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover for the finishing pass that pulls out the fur and leaf veins. Cut it in walnut, oak, maple, or MDF. It makes a warm nursery panel, a cabin or cottage sign, an autumn wall plaque, or a gift for anyone who loves the woods.
