About this design
A horned owl sits dead center, eyes locked on you, framed by an ancient oak whose branches arc overhead and whose roots pour down across the lower half of the panel. Once it comes off the machine and catches a little side light, the feather detail and the twisting bark read like something that took a master carver a month by hand.

For a clean result, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at a 40 percent stepover, then come back and finish with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover.
