About this design
A gnarled oak stands inside a starlit circle, its roots spreading over mossy stones while a single butterfly rests on the branches. There is so much going on here, the acorns, the wildflowers tucked into the lower corners, the little beetle on the rock, that the finished carve almost feels alive. Run it in walnut or cherry and you get that deep, hand-sculpted look people stop and stare at.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean, predictable toolpaths. The depth is layered well, from the raised canopy down into the shadowed clouds and rocky foreground, so your machine reads every twist of root and leaf without muddy detail. It opens and runs nicely in Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco and ArtCAM, and it is ready for your CNC router or 3D printer. For a crisp result, hog out the bulk with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then drop in a 3mm ball nose at a 10 percent stepover to pull out the fine bark texture and the delicate flowers. Turn it into framed wall art, a spiritual plaque, a rustic sign, or a one-off gift for the tree lover in your life.
