About this design
One half holds a raised human hand with a heart pressed into the palm. The other half cradles a dog's paw, four toes and a soft pad sunk into the grain. Together they form a yin yang, the quiet promise that a person and their dog complete each other. Finished in walnut and weathered ash tones, this round carve says everything a pet lover feels without a single word.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built to carve clean and read sharp. The contrast between the bright handprint and the dark, recessed paw gives you real depth to play with, and the curved divide between the two halves machines smooth without chatter. The file is tested and ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, and Carveco, and it runs just as well on a 3D printer or, once converted, a laser engraver. For best results, rough the piece with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then bring out the fine lines of the fingers and toe pads with a 3mm ball nose at a 10 percent stepover. Scale it up for a wall panel or keep it small for a desktop keepsake. Pine, walnut, maple, and oak all take the detail well.
