About this design
A big iguana sits frozen mid-pose, every scale catching the light, that proud crest of spines running down its back like a row of tiny saw teeth. Carve this one and people will lean in close to make sure it isn't a real lizard pressed into the wood. The dewlap, the curled claws, the textured plank behind it, all of it reads like patient hand work.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean machining. The depth is layered well, so the head and front leg stand forward while the tail and background sink back, which gives you real dimension without chatter or torn grain. It's tested and ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it runs nicely on a CNC router, a laser engraver using a heightmap workflow, or a resin 3D printer. For best results, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at a 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull out the fine scale work and the spines. Walnut, oak, maple, or basswood all carry this subject beautifully. Use it for wall panels, reptile shop signage, man cave decor, terrarium room art, or a one of a kind gift for the lizard lover in your life.
