About this design
A bighorn ram lies calm against a backdrop of jagged peaks and dark pines, his great curled horns sweeping forward like the rings of a tree. Just below him, tucked into a tangle of branches and leaves, a small nest cradles three eggs. There is a quiet story in this one, the kind of carve that makes people stop and lean in to read every detail when it hangs on the wall.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for depth. You get the heavy texture of the ram's coat, the layered horns, the rocky cliff face, and the fine woven nest all sitting in clean, sculpted planes that hold their shadows under a finish. It runs smoothly in Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and you can scale it to a cabin sign or a small plaque without losing the fine work. Cut it on a CNC router, run it as a height map on your laser, or send it to a 3D printer. For the cleanest result, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then finish with a 3mm ball nose at around 10 percent stepover to pull out the fur and the nest weave. Walnut, cherry, and maple all carry this design beautifully.
