About this design
A loyal gun dog steps out of the cattails with a pheasant held gently in its mouth, water rippling at its feet. There is real story in this one. The set of the dog's ears, the soft eye, the proud carriage of a retriever doing the job it was bred for. Carved into oak and hung in a lodge or a den, it stops people in the hallway.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean cutting. The layered depth reads beautifully, from the feathered texture of the bird to the dappled coat of the dog and the marsh grass framing the scene. It is tested and ready in Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it scales to whatever panel size you have in mind. Run it on a CNC router, a 3D printer, or a laser engraver that handles heightmap work. For wood, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then drop to a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover for the finish pass and the fine detail in the feathers and fur will come up sharp. Turn it into wall art, a cabin sign, a plaque for the hunt club, or a one-of-a-kind gift for the bird hunter who has everything.
