About this design
Dust kicks up across the prairie as a thundering herd of buffalo breaks into a run, a vintage steam engine bearing down behind them with smoke rolling into the sky. There is real motion in this scene, horns lowered, shoulders rolling, grass bent under the stampede. Carved into walnut or cherry, it becomes the kind of panel that stops people in a room and makes them lean in close.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built from a hand-carved original that was 3D scanned, so the finished cut keeps that artisan texture instead of looking machine-flat. You get layered depth across the herd, crisp fur and grass detail, and a clean oval border that frames the whole composition. The file is ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it runs well on a CNC router, a 3D printer (FDM or resin), or a laser using a heightmap workflow. For the cleanest result, rough the surface with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back and finish with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull out the fine fur and the smoke detail. Scale it to fit a plaque, a large wall panel, a headboard accent, or a framed piece for a cabin or lodge.
