About this design
A great bull bison stares out from the panel, horns curved and heavy, a single beaded feather hanging beside his cheek. Below him a small herd thunders across open ground. There is real weight in this one. The mane catches light, the wood grain runs through the background like wind on the prairie, and once it comes off the spoilboard it reads like something a knife spent a hundred hours on.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL, sculpted for clean depth and texture from the matted fur to the running legs in the lower scene. The layering gives your finish a true hand-carved look without flat spots or muddy shadows. It runs nicely in Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it is ready for a CNC router, a 3D printer, or a laser engraver working from a heightmap. For carving, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then bring the detail up with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover. Scale it to whatever your stock allows. Walnut, maple, and cherry all show this design off beautifully, and it makes strong wall art, cabin and lodge signs, mantel pieces, or a gift for anyone who loves western wildlife.
