About this design
A mallard bursts up out of the reeds, wings spread wide, caught dead center in the crosshairs of a rifle scope. The shotgun rests across the foreground, barrel and trigger guard carved with a hunter's care. This is the held breath right before the shot, the kind of scene any duck hunter knows in their bones, and it looks stunning hanging in a lodge or over a workbench.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean machining. The layered composition gives you real depth, from the textured marsh grass up front to the feathered duck framed inside the scope, with a soft treeline fading in the background. The carved wood grain reads beautifully under raking light, and the toolpaths stay crisp through the fine feather and reed work. It is ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it cuts well on any hobby or pro CNC router. For best results, hog out the waste with a 6mm end mill at a 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull out the feathers, scope detail, and grass. Finish it in walnut or oak and you have a piece that looks hand-sculpted.
Use it for wall art, cabin signs, man cave decor, or a one-of-a-kind gift for the hunter in your life.
