About this design
A young elf in profile, blue eye fixed on something just past the frame, wearing a stitched leaf cap with a snail parked on top and a tiny frog riding the shell. There is a whole little story carved into one panel, and the deep cut background throws shadows that make the whole scene feel like it is breathing. Finish this in walnut and people will stand in front of it trying to figure out where the wood ends and the dream begins.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean machining. The depth layering is already worked out, from the soft contours of the face and the curl of the pointed ear down to the spiral of the snail shell, the leaf veins, and the stitching across the cap. It opens and runs in Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it carves well on a CNC router. For a reliable result, hog out the waste with a 6mm end mill at a 40 percent stepover, then drop in a 3mm ball nose and finish at a 10 percent stepover for crisp eyes, fine hair, and that texture on the snail and bark. Hardwoods like walnut, cherry, or maple show off the contrast best, though it reads well in MDF too. Use it for fantasy wall art, storybook nursery decor, gallery showpieces, or one-off gifts for the collector who has everything.
The file is an instant digital download, and commercial use is included. Carve it for your own wall, build a small run for your shop, or sculpt one as a gift nobody will forget. Add it to your library and let the chips fly.
