About this design
Two faces sit side by side in a sunken frame, and they could not be more different. One is doubled over with laughter, eyes squeezed shut, tears running down, mouth wide and tongue out. The other is frozen in pure shock, eyes blown open, mouth caught mid-gasp. Put them on a wall and people grin before they even know why. That instant reaction is the whole point of this carve.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean cutting. The recessed background drops away around the two heads, so finished pieces throw real shadow and the expressions pop with depth. The tooled stone-like texture around the border gives it a handmade feel right off the machine. It runs well in Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it is ready for a CNC router or a 3D printer. For a smooth result, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back and finish with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover.
