About this design
Picture a donkey mid-bray, lips peeled back over a row of big square teeth, a pair of reading glasses perched on his nose like he just remembered a joke. This carve makes people laugh out loud the moment they walk past it. That goofy grin and the wild tuft of mane practically have personality baked into the wood.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built to carve clean and read sharp. The fur runs in directional strokes that catch light, the open mouth and curled tongue give you real depth, and the chiseled border frames the whole thing like a rough-hewn plaque. The model is tested and ready in Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, ArtCAM, and Fusion 360, and it runs nicely on a CNC router, a laser engraver, or a 3D printer. For the cleanest result, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at a tight 10 percent stepover to pull out the teeth, the eyes, and every line of that scruffy coat. Cut it in hardwood, MDF, or resin and it holds detail beautifully. Use it for barn signs, man cave panels, farmhouse wall art, or a one-off gift that gets a reaction.
