About this design
A great long-necked duck sails low over a sprawling city, its body stretching across rooftops, brick houses, and a forest of skyscrapers. Look closer and the scene fills up with little stories: a child in a lit window, bare trees clawing at the walls, shingles laid one by one. Carved into walnut or oak, this one stops people mid-step and makes them lean in.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for depth and storytelling. The layered planes (foreground houses, mid-ground towers, the sweep of the bird) read beautifully under raking light and give your toolpaths plenty to bite into. It is ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, ArtCAM, and Fusion 360, and it runs clean on a CNC router. The surface also translates well to a 3D printer or a laser engraver using a heightmap workflow. For a crisp finish, hog out the bulk with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at ten percent stepover to pull out the window frames, the feathers, and the fine grain of the brick. Scale it to a framed panel, a wide wall plaque, or a centerpiece sign and the detail holds.
