About this design
An octopus settles onto your countertop, tentacles spread wide, each arm cradling a well of chili flakes, star anise, sea salt, or peppercorns. The big round eyes catch the light, the suction cups run clean down every limb, and the whole piece reads like something pulled from a tide pool and set among the spice jars. It is the kind of carve that stops a guest mid-sentence.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL of an octopus serving tray, sculpted with deep, flowing tentacles and eight scooped compartments that actually hold spices, dips, or small bites. The modeling carries real depth, so shadows pool in the wells and the suction-cup texture stays sharp after finishing. It is built for CNC routers and tested for Aspire and VCarve Pro, and it loads cleanly into Carveco, ArtCAM, or Fusion 360 too. For a smooth result, hog out the bulk with a 6mm end mill at a 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull out the eyes, the grain, and the fine suction detail. Run it in walnut or maple and you have a functional spice tray, a coastal serving board, a statement piece for a seafood kitchen, or a wall-hung sculpture.
