About this design
A walnut octopus rising out of the wood, eight tentacles curling into deep wells, every sucker catching the light. This is the kind of piece that stops people mid-conversation at a market booth. The body sits proud and rounded, the eyes hold a glassy stare, and the arms fan out into ready-made compartments for spices, salts, olives, or rings dropped at the end of the day.
What you get is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean carving. The sculpted depth reads like hand work, with crisp sucker rings, flowing skin texture, and shadow that sells the whole illusion. It is tested and ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it runs well on a CNC router cutting walnut, oak, maple, or any tight-grained hardwood. For a clean result, rough the form with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull out the tentacle detail and those rows of suckers. Adjust your depth of cut to suit your machine and the stock you load. The end result works as a functional serving tray, a charcuterie centerpiece, a catch-all organizer, or a coastal wall piece.
