About this design
A little fawn watches you from the gap in the bark, ears up, eyes soft and curious. There is something quiet and tender about this one. Carve it and you get the gentle face of the deer set against rough, split timber, the kind of piece that makes people stop and reach out to touch the grain.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean carving. The contrast does the heavy lifting here: deep, cracked bark texture runs the full height of the panel while the fawn's face, nose, and fur stay smooth and lifelike. The model is fully scalable, so you can size it for a small plaque or a statement wall panel. It is tested and ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it runs nicely on a CNC router, a 3D printer, or a laser setup that handles heightmap workflows. For the best surface, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at a 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull out the eyes, the inner ear, and the fine bark splits. Think cabin decor, nursery wall art, woodland nursery signs, rustic plaques, and one-of-a-kind handmade gifts.
