About this design
A great shaggy bison stares straight out at you, crowned with a mandala carved between the horns and draped in feathered beadwork down both cheeks. The face is heavy with character, the brow furrowed, the muzzle soft, every strand of that wild mane catching the light. Carved in walnut or oak, this one stops people in the doorway.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean machining. The depth is layered well, so the mandala, the braided horns, and the flowing beard all read clearly without fighting each other on the toolpaths. It is ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it scales to whatever panel size suits your project. Run it on a CNC router for the richest result, slice it for a 3D printer, or use the heightmap on a laser engraver if your setup supports relief work. For a crisp carve, rough the panel with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull out the fine fur and tribal linework. From there it becomes wall art, a cabin plaque, a statement sign, or a gift that feels handmade and personal.
