About this design
An old ship's anchor lashed in rope, with two full-bloomed roses spilling across the shank. There's a story in this one. The kind of piece that ends up over a mantel or by a front door, where people stop and run a thumb along the petals. Carved deep and shaded right, it reads like a tattoo pulled straight off the skin and pressed into wood.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean cutting. The sculpting holds its layers, so the rope twists stay crisp, the rose petals keep their curl, and the anchor flukes drop into real shadow. It's tested and ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it runs well on a CNC router, a resin or FDM 3D printer, or a laser engraver with enough depth control. For a CNC cut, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull every fine line. Hardwoods, MDF, and acrylic all take it nicely. Use it for nautical wall art, coastal signs, gift plaques, or a centerpiece panel for a beach house build.
This is an instant digital download, and commercial use is included, so carve it for yourself, stock your booth, or cut a one-off gift for the sailor in your life. Add it to your cart and put it on the spindle this weekend.
