About this design
Picture two little mice caught mid-gift, one holding out a neatly wrapped parcel while the smaller one leans in, whiskers forward, too curious to wait. Run it in oak and the fur comes up soft, the ribbon catches the light, and the carved "Happy Birthday" along the base turns the whole panel into something a person keeps on the wall for years. It is a warm, storybook scene that pulls a smile out of everyone who walks past it.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL, sculpted with deep, honest layering so the mice sit forward off a hand-hewn background. You can see the work in the fur strokes, the folds in the gift paper, and those long tails that draw your eye across the piece. The file is ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it carves cleanly on a CNC router. For toolpaths, I rough mine out with a 6mm end mill held to a 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover for the fine fur and lettering. That combination keeps the detail crisp without burying you in machine time.
