About this design
Three mallards burst up off the water while a hunter drops to one knee, shotgun raised, the whole scene wrapped in oak leaves and acorns. You can almost hear the wingbeats and the rush of the little stream running through the rocks at the bottom. Carve this one in walnut and it tells a story every time someone walks past it.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean machining. The flying ducks sit proud of the panel with crisp feather work, while the recessed woodland background, ferns, pines, and flowing stream pull real depth and shadow into the piece. The hunter's gear, posture, and shotgun are all sculpted in tight. It opens and runs in Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and cuts cleanly on any hobby or pro CNC router. For best results, rough the form with a 6mm end mill at a 40 percent stepover, then drop in a 3mm ball nose at roughly 10 percent stepover to bring out the feathers and fern detail. Run it in walnut, oak, maple, or cherry and you get a finished wall panel worth hanging.
Think hunting lodge wall art, cabin signs, gun room decor, or a one-of-a-kind gift for the duck hunter in your life. The file is an instant digital download with commercial use included, so carve it for yourself, build a small batch, or sell the panels at your next show. Add it to your cart and get cutting.
