About this design
A red fox steps out of the shadows, head low, eyes locked right on you. You can almost feel the caution in those paws as it moves through the tall grass. Carved into maple or walnut, this panel turns a flat board into a moment frozen in the wild, the kind of piece that stops people mid-step in a hallway or cabin den.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean, deep cuts. The fur runs in real directional strands, the grass blades layer over the lower edge, and the rough chiseled border frames the whole scene like it was hand-gouged. The depth gives your finish stain something to grab, so the shadows pool naturally once it comes off the machine. It is tested and ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, ArtCAM, Carveco, and Fusion 360, and it runs well on a CNC router, a laser engraver, or a 3D printer. For the best result, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then bring the detail home with a 3mm ball nose at a tight 10 percent stepover. Cut it in hardwood, MDF, or resin and make wall plaques, rustic signs, mantel pieces, or gifts for the fox lovers and hunters in your life.
The file downloads instantly, so you can be cutting tonight. Commercial use is included, which means you are free to carve it, sell the finished work at shows and online, or hand it over as a one-of-a-kind gift. Grab the fox and put it on the spindle.
