About this design
A young wolf throws its head back to howl while two round-eyed owls huddle close beside it. There is something quietly funny and tender about the trio, the wild pup mid-song and the owls just watching the world go by. Carve this one and it reads like a little forest story pulled straight out of the wood.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL with real depth in every layer. The fur runs in fine directional strokes, the feathers stack in clean overlapping rows, and the recessed background gives the scene a framed, hand-gouged look that catches shadow beautifully. The file is built for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it runs just as happily on a CNC router or a 3D printer. For the cleanest result, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull out the eyes, the feather edges, and that soft fur grain. Walnut, maple, and basswood all finish gorgeously here, and it makes a strong wildlife plaque, a cabin wall piece, or a nursery accent.
