About this design
A loyal spaniel comes back through the grass with a cock pheasant held soft in its mouth, ears down, eyes steady, a stick caught in the bird's wing. Anyone who has hunted over a good dog feels this one in their chest. Carve it and you have the whole moment frozen in wood, the dog's coat, the long sweep of tail feathers, the broken stems at its feet.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean cutting. The fur reads in fine layered strokes, the pheasant plumage stacks with real depth, and the raised border gives the panel a framed, finished edge straight off the machine. It runs well in Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, ArtCAM, and Fusion 360, and it slices fine for FDM or resin printing too. For best results on a CNC router, rough the shape with a 6mm end mill at a 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent to pull out the feather barbs and the soft texture in the dog's face. Walnut, cherry, maple, hard pine, they all take this design nicely. Make wall plaques, a lodge sign, a mantel piece, or a one-of-a-kind gift for the bird hunter in your life.
The file downloads the second your order clears, so you can be cutting tonight. Commercial use is included, which means you can carve these, sell them at shows, and build a little side business off the design. Grab it, load your machine, and let the chips fly.
