About this design
Two blue tits huddle close on a worn oak branch, beaks almost touching, the way real birds do on a cold morning. Behind them sits a rough slab of bark, soft leaves curl in at the edges, and a few acorns hang in the corner. Carve this one and you get a little moment of stillness, the kind of piece people lean in to look at twice.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean cutting. Every feather is layered, the chest plumage softens into the wood, and the bark gives the background real texture and shadow. The depth reads well even in a small plaque, so you can run it large for wall art or shrink it down for a gift. The file is tested and ready in Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it cuts beautifully on a CNC router. It also prints clean on a 3D printer if that is your tool of choice. For the best result, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull out the fine feather lines and the grain in the bark. Walnut, maple, and cherry all suit this design, and a soft hand-painted finish brings the blue and gold to life.
