About this design
Picture a mallard drake dropping into the marsh, wings flared wide, feet reaching for the water as the reeds bend around him. This carve freezes that split second when the bird hits the brakes. Run it in walnut or cherry and the layered feathers catch the light like the real thing, every barb and pinion reading clean across the round recessed frame.
What you get is a high-detail bas-relief STL built to carve without fuss. The sculpt holds real depth, from the deep grass and rippling water at the bottom to the proud sweep of the outstretched wings, so your finishing pass has plenty to bite into. The file is ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, and it runs just as happily on a CNC router, a 3D printer, or a laser set up for relief work. For the cleanest result, rough it with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull out the feather detail and the fine reed heads. Cut it as a wall panel, a cabin plaque, a door sign, or a one-off gift for the duck hunter in your life.
This is an instant digital download, so you can be slicing toolpaths within minutes. Commercial use is included, which means you are free to carve it, sell the finished pieces at shows or online, and gift them to friends and family. Add it to your library, load it up, and let the chips fly.
