About this design
A mallard drake sits low on still water, his green head catching the light while cattails and marsh grass lean in behind him. There is a quiet to this scene, the kind you find at dawn near a flooded timber pond. Carve it and you bring that calm right onto a panel of oak or walnut, every feather and reed standing in honest relief.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for clean cutting. The sculpt layers the duck forward off the water, with the reeds set back so you get real depth and shadow instead of a flat picture. Feather barbs, the soft breast, the ripple of the reflection, it all reads sharp once the finish pass clears. The file is tested and ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, so it drops straight into the workflow you already know. Run it on a CNC router through hardwood, MDF, or acrylic, slice it for resin or FDM 3D printing, or push it through a laser for deep engraving. For best results, rough the relief with a 6mm end mill at a 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose finishing at roughly 10 percent stepover to pull out the fine feather and reed work. Good material to make wall art, cabin plaques, hunting lodge signs, or a gift for the waterfowler in your life.
