About this design
A chocolate Lab sits patient in the reeds, eyes steady, two mallards strung up against the dead timber behind him. You can almost smell the cold marsh air coming off the water. This is the kind of scene that stops a duck hunter in his tracks, and carved in walnut or cherry it turns into the centerpiece of any cabin wall.
What you get is a high-detail bas-relief STL built to carve clean. The fur on the dog has real direction and depth, the marsh grass layers front to back, and the mallards read sharp right down to the feather edges. The model is ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, ArtCAM, and Fusion 360, and it runs fine on a CNC router or a 3D printer. For the cleanest result, hog out the waste with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then drop to a 3mm ball nose and finish at 10 percent stepover so the fine detail in the coat and reeds holds together. Scale it to fit a plaque, a sign, or a full panel above the gun cabinet. It makes a sharp gift for the retriever owner or the waterfowler in your life.
