A chocolate Lab sits patient in the reeds, eyes steady, two mallards strung up against the dead timber behind him. You can almost smell the cold marsh air coming off the water. For the cleanest result, hog out the waste with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then drop to a 3mm ball nose and finish at 10 percent stepover so the fine detail in the coat and reeds holds together.
