About this design
His eyes are lowered, the crown of thorns pressing into his brow, and below him a single lamb stands waiting while the shepherd walks the woods. There is real weight in this face. Carve it and you get a panel that stops people the moment they walk past, the kind of piece that belongs above a doorway or on a quiet wall where folks slow down.
This is a high-detail bas-relief STL built for depth and clean shadow. The layered composition (the face and flowing hair up top, the shepherd scene and lamb at the base) reads beautifully once the light hits it, and the carving holds its detail in walnut, maple, or basswood. It is tested and ready for Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carveco, and ArtCAM, so you can drop it into your workflow and go. Run it on a CNC router, a laser set up for height-map relief, or a 3D printer for casting and painted display work. For the cleanest result, rough it out with a 6mm end mill at 40 percent stepover, then come back with a 3mm ball nose at 10 percent stepover to pull out the fine work in the beard, the thorns, and the lamb's wool. Scale it up for a church or chapel wall, or keep it modest for a prayer corner or altar.
