The whitetail buck at first light, a labrador coming out of the water with a mallard, a pheasant flushed by a spaniel, elk bugling in the meadow. This is the wall art of the cabin, the lodge, the garage and the office of anyone who hunts, and it is the collection that sells most steadily to men who are otherwise impossible to buy for.
Designs were composed for 350 to 600 mm panels and for mantel and gun-cabinet inserts, with the depth to read across a lodge room. Walnut and oak with a dark glaze suit them; so does reclaimed pine for a rustic piece. The dogs have correct coat and posture, and the antlers carve clean with a 1/16 inch cutter. The gift guide lists what to carve for hunters, and the carve-time guide shows how to keep a big panel under four hours on the machine.
